Born in Nicosia, he began his music education with violin, piano and music theory lessons.
He completed his studies at the Instrument Maker School of the Music Academy of Franz Liszt in Budapest in the direction of the manufacture of Stringed Keyboard Instruments. Constantinos, wishing to steadily climb on the scale of knowhow, prioritises the frequent attendance of seminars of a technical nature across Europe and beyond.
He has taken part in a specialized training program about the preparation and maintenance of pianos on stage at the C.F. Theodore Steinway Academy in Hamburg exclusively fortechnicians involved with pianos by Steinway & Sons. He has recently attended a Case Finish Repair Seminar at the C.F. Theodore Steinway Academy in New York, making him the only piano technician in Cyprus with a certificate of training from the company.
He has trained and worked in the Netherlands in the area of general piano inspection before purchase and has been recruited to gain insights about the special approach of the Steinway industry in London.
Since 2004 until now Constantinos Loizou works as a piano technician in universities, conservatories, music institutions and foundations, theaters, recording studios, television stations etc. He quickly became the permanent partner of the largest and most esteemed cultural institutions of Cyprus, including the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra (CYSO), the Pharos Arts Foundation, Ledra Music Soloists, to name a few. He is the principal piano technician at the most important theaters and venues in Cyprus, such as the Presidential Palace, Strovolos and Larnaca Municipal Theaters, Pallas, Shoe Factory, Kasteliotissa Medieval Hall etc.
His collaboration with distinguished soloists of the world's artistic stage is frequent.
Pianists such as Grigory Sokolov, Martha Argerich, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Yuja Wang, Dmitri Bashkirov, Sergei Babayan, Pablo Galdo, Jacques Loussier and his compatriots Martino Tirimo, Cyprien Katsaris, Marios Papadopoulos are among other artists he has been called to cooperate with.
In 2017 Constantinos was called upon to tune and maintain the piano at the 1st International Piano Competition "City of Vigo" in Spain. His collaboration with the Music Association of Galicia has been so successful, it has resulted in being called again during the 2018 competition.
Particular love is given to the piano's predecessor, the harpsichord, which he also maintained in various concerts such as: "Don Giovanni" with the CYSO, a concert with the Academy of Ancient Music, the first solo recital in Cyprus with the talented Mahan Esfahani and others.
